Mother Of Many Children Dies In Russia After Learning Of Her Mobilised Husband's Death

She suffered a heart attack.

A mother of many children from Verkhnyaya Pyshma (Sverdlovsk region), 42-year-old Nadezhda, died after learning about the death of her husband in the war in Ukraine, a kasparov.ru correspondent reported on February 6, citing the woman's sister.

According to the sister, her husband's commander wrote to Nadezhda that Gennady had died. She had a heart attack, doctors performed an operation, but could not save her.

The next day in the afternoon Nadezhda died. She was buried on January 31. But the fate of her husband is still unknown - except for the message in WhatsApp, there is no confirmation of the death of the serviceman.

Gennady was mobilised in October 2022. After the death of Nadezhda, his sister received a call from the military officer who had sent him to the war, and he was indignant, why the family decided that their head had died, that there was no such information, no official data.

Nadezhda and Gennady were bringing up three children. The daughter is already 20 years old, she studies in another city. And the sons, the eldest nine and the youngest five years old, are now with their aunt.

Nadezhda has not been buried yet, but the child welfare authorities have already come to the house. The aunt has not given the children to anyone: "We need to understand where their father is, whether he is alive or dead. And solve the issue of guardianship," the woman is indignant.

A lot of people have a question: "Did the guardianship authorities have the right to act like this? Why didn't they take pity on the children, and immediately, despite such grief in the family, decided to take them away from their aunt and their older sister?"
