Russians have lost access to terabytes of data.
Russians continue to experience problems related to the suspension of popular Yandex services following Ukraine’s retaliatory strikes on the Russian company’s data centers. In particular, they are unable to access terabytes of data stored on Yandex Disk. This was reported by "Kod.ru".
A user going by the nickname verimash reported the outage on the “Habr” platform. After the attack on the data center in Sasovo, he decided to copy data from his “Yandex Disk,” which totaled about 1.9 TB.

However, while transferring the files, he encountered several types of issues: for some files, the thumbnails disappeared; others appeared in the interface but could not be downloaded; and in some cases, neither the preview nor the original file would open.
The user also reported that the link to the server hosting the original file is generated correctly; however, in some cases, the storage service returns a 504 Gateway Timeout error. This indicates that the server did not receive a timely response from another server required to fulfill the request.

According to the user, on the night of October 10, approximately 21.3 GB—about 1% of the total volume of his files—was inaccessible. By the evening of the same day, access began to be restored: 8.1 GB of the previously inaccessible data was successfully retrieved.
By the evening of the same day, access began to be restored: 8.1 GB of the previously inaccessible data was successfully retrieved. However, on the morning of October 11, the situation worsened. After another Yandex data center in the Vladimir region went offline, approximately half of the user’s files were no longer accessible.
“Dozhd” adds that journalists checked their personal and work accounts on the service and confirmed that some files were indeed inaccessible.
Responses to a poll under a post on “Habr” also point to these outages. Of the 440 participants, 68 reported that they were also unable to download some of their files from “Yandex Disk.”
