Kola Peninsula Russian Ground Forces Destroyed When Fighting In Ukraine

The Commander-in-Chief of the Norwegian Army pointed out an important thing for NATO.

Commander-in-Chief of the Norwegian army Gen. Eirik Kristoffersen said that the Russian ground forces on the Kola Peninsula were "destroyed" after heavy losses in the war against Ukraine.

Bloomberg reports.

Norway, a NATO member since 1949, has seen no significant change in Russia's “position” on its border over the past year, including the aggressor country's nuclear forces and its Northern Fleet, while Russia's Ground Forces on the Kola Peninsula have been “destroyed” after major losses in Ukraine, Kristoffersen said.

He called the main task of the Norwegian Defence Forces this year to support Ukraine.

The general said it was a “big operation” involving “at least” 10% of the Norwegian military's logistics personnel and instructors.

According to Kristoffersen, NATO has two to three years to prepare for the moment Russia restores its conventional war capacity.
