The airspace above Vilnius airport was temporarily restricted in the evening on November 23, reported in the press service of the air harbor.

It is noted that the measure was taken at 18.55. This was due to the detection of navigation marks, characteristic of balloons, which were moving towards the airport.

Reminder, October 29, Lithuania closed the border with Belarus until November 30. The exception was made for diplomats and returning home citizens of Lithuania and the EU. The decision was taken in response to the appearance of weather probes in the airspace of the country, which, according to the Lithuanian authorities, are used for smuggling and pose a threat to civil aviation.

October 20, Vilnius opened the border.
