It is not possible to use Yandex Go and other services.

As a result of an attack by Ukrainian drones the infrastructure of the Yandex data center in Vladimir, Russia, was damaged. The data center has been completely shut down. This information was confirmed by the company’s press office.

No one was injured, and relevant services are already on site addressing the aftermath, the company notes.

“We consider the remaining resource configuration to be unstable. The platform is currently in emergency mode—we recommend implementing any other alternative disaster recovery plans. Communication channels with technical support may be unstable. The team is working on assessing the damage and developing possible plans to resume operations,” Yandex notes.

Users in Belarus have also encountered problems. The “Yandex GO” taxi booking service is currently unavailable. “Looks like Yandex went down in Belarus too after last night,” “Is Yandex Taxi really down in Belarus???,” “Our work email hasn’t been working since this morning,” users write, attaching screenshots showing that it’s impossible to hail a taxi. Users in Russia and Kazakhstan are reporting similar issues, according to “Zerkalo”.

This is the third attack on Yandex data centers in recent days. On October 8, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked a facility in Sasovo, Ryazan Oblast, and on October 9, one in Kaluga.
