Peskov Was Unable To Articulate The Kremlin's Position On An Energy Truce With Ukraine

Russia has already violated the ceasefire.

Russian authorities are continuing their dialogue with the U.S. regarding an energy truce with Ukraine, Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday.

“Discussions are ongoing. As soon as we have something to say on this topic, we will certainly inform you,” Peskov said in response to a question about whether an agreement on an energy truce had been reached and, if so, at what level.

U.S. President Donald Trump unexpectedly announced on Sunday that Moscow and Kyiv had agreed to cease mutual attacks on energy infrastructure.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia had already violated the energy ceasefire, which U.S. President Donald Trump had announced the day before.
