The New Ukrainian Interceptor Is Already Shooting Down Shahed Drones

The new interceptor is already shooting down Shahed drones. The first combat results in Kyiv: two “Geran-5” drones shot down.

In collaboration with Pavel Elizarov, the military, and engineers, a new interceptor drone was developed. It took just one month from the start of development to the first confirmed shoot-downs. Combat tests were conducted by crews from Lasar’s Group. Within a few days, the military shot down two Russian “Geran-5” jet drones flying toward Kyiv.

The video shows the first confirmed shootdowns by the new interceptor. Its speed allows it to shoot down Shahed jet drones before they even reach the city.

The tests are going well, and this is just the beginning. We are now refining the technology and ramping up production. The goal is to make the interceptor fully autonomous so that it can detect and intercept Russian drones without operator intervention. The next step is to expand the drone’s combat use to protect more Ukrainian cities.
