The Likud party is in the lead.
The Likud Party of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is leading in the Knesset elections—the country’s unicameral parliament—with 100% of the votes counted, securing 27 seats, according to Times of Israel.
The bloc of Netanyahu’s supporters won 53 seats, while the opposition won 48; the predominantly Arab parties, the Joint List and Ra’am, won a combined total of 19 seats (in the current Knesset, they hold 16 seats).
Thus, none of the major blocs has yet secured the 61 seats required for a parliamentary majority.
The “Yashar” party wins 22 seats, and “Beyahad” wins 12. The “Joint List” wins 11 seats, RAAM and the “Democrats” win 8 each, “Our Home Israel,” “United Torah Judaism” and “Otzma Yehudit,” and “Religious Zionism” and Shas each received 6.
