If the United States accepts the plan proposed by Tehran to resolve the conflict.
The Strait of Hormuz could be reopened within a week if the U.S. accepts Iran’s proposed plan to resolve the conflict. This was stated by the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic Abbas Araghchi, according to Fars.
“We have clearly outlined our conditions to everyone for the resumption of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz; all of these conditions correspond to the commitments that the United States must undertake. If the seven-day plan presented by the U.S. is accepted, the Strait of Hormuz will be reopened,” the minister noted.
The foreign minister added that Iran supports a diplomatic resolution to the conflict but is prepared to defend itself.
“If our enemies once again choose the path of military confrontation, they will receive a response that is even harsher than before, and we will defend ourselves more resolutely than ever,” Araghchi explained.
