According to her, there is no reason to do so.
Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Ruginenė says she doesn't expect any improvement in relations between Vilnius and Minsk in the near future. According to her, the Belarusian authorities are still betting on a show of force, rather than on dialog.
"So far I don't see warming in this respect and probably there are no reasons for it," Inga Ruginene LRT.
"As long as Belarus shows aggression, as long as it perceives only the language of force and believes that we can be influenced only by pressure, we really do not see the possibility of at least slightly "unfreezing" these relations. We do not support communication in the language of force and we clearly state it," said Prime Minister of Lithuania.
Ruginenė emphasized that Lithuania is ready for an equal dialogue, but not in the current conditions. According to her, the Belarusian side does not show interest in discussing specific technical or business issues.
"It seems to them that the demonstration of pressure, testing of our systems - the same balls, trucks - is the appropriate language of communication with us. It doesn't seem so to us," she said, adding that in normal relations the sides either calmly discuss practical issues or, if one of them chooses the path of pressure, Vilnius is not interested in this format of interaction.
