Yevgeny Skochko received three years in prison on political charges.

Yevgeny Skochko was charged under Article 361-4 of the Criminal Code of Belarus - "promotion of extremist activity." He was also charged with "slander" and "insulting Lukashenko," as well as "discrediting the Republic of Belarus," writes "Christian Visión".

Evgeny Skochko is a lawyer, entrepreneur and father of many children. In the early 2000s, he was one of the leaders of the organization "Young Front" and an active participant of the BCD, but since the mid-2000s he moved away from politics.

Later he was engaged in the construction of temples and provided legal assistance to people.

Nearly his criminal prosecution was not publicly reported. Now Evgeny Skochko is kept in pre-trial detention center-3 in Gomel.
