The US President made a high-profile announcement before departing for China.

While speaking to reporters before departing for China for talks with Si Jinping on Tuesday, President Donald Trump denied the existence of any understandings with Russian head of state Vladimir Putin on the transfer of Donbass to Russia. When asked by a reporter whether there were relevant "understandings" between the two leaders, Trump replied "no," but did not provide details. Earlier, the Kremlin said that a key condition for continuing peace talks with Kiev is the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the entire territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Trump also said he considers only two nations in the world to be superpowers - the United States and China, with which Washington has a "very strong relationship." He said the United States is "the strongest country on Earth militarily, and China is considered the second strongest." "No one can even come close to matching us. And it shows, whether it's Venezuela or Iran," the White House head emphasized.
