Are The "Shaheds" Being Run From Belarus Again?

Lukashenko is being set up by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

A radio control center for Russian kamikaze drones "Shahed", which are used for attacks on the territory of Ukraine, may have started functioning again in Belarus. However, unlike previous cases, it may have been moved from the border areas to the central part of the country.

This was reported by Sergei Beskrestnov, defense technology advisor to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry and an expert on unmanned systems and electronic warfare.

According to him, at the end of winter the Ukrainian side stopped recording the work of "Shahedami" control points from the territory of Belarus.

"At the end of winter we stopped the work of "Shahedami" control points from the territory of the Republic of Belarus. Since then, we have not recorded active attempts to resume the work of these points," the expert noted.

Once again, however, during the combined attack on May 13, experts recorded the activity of radio modems on board Russian drones in Ukrainian airspace near the Belarusian border.

"During the combined attack on May 13, we again recorded the operation of radio modems on board Russian UAVs over our territory near the borders of Belarus," said Beskrestnov.

The expert explained that the distance to the Russian border in this case is about 500 kilometers, which makes direct radio control from the territory of the Russian Federation impossible. In addition, such a distance excludes the option of signal transmission through a chain of repeaters.

"I admit the repeated work of the radio control point of the "Shaheds" from the territory of the Republic of Belarus, but at a great depth from the middle of the country. So far, these are isolated cases. Ukrainian defense forces keep this issue under control. We never take any measures without 100% certainty," he emphasized.
