Atlantic Council: Russia Considers Four Scenarios For Kadyrov's Regime Change

The successors to the head of Chechnya have already been decided.

The American think tank Atlantic Council has released a new report with several scenarios for a change of power in Chechnya amid the deteriorating health of Ramzan Kadyrov, the current head of the republic.

The authors of the material believe that the current model of governance of the republic, based on the alliance between Kadyrov and Putin, is becoming increasingly unstable.

The report considers four options for the development of events: the preservation of the current system, a change of power by Moscow's decision, the sudden death of Kadyrov, and the sudden death of the Chechen leader.
