Ukrainian Border Guards Assessed The Situation On The Border With Belarus

The agency warned of the risk due to the Belarusian infrastructure.
As of now, no movement of equipment or personnel has been recorded on the border with Belarus, and the number of Belarusian and Russian military personnel has not increased.
This was reported by "RBC-Ukraine" with reference to the statement of the speaker of the State Border Service Andriy Demchenko on the air of a telethon.
The spokesman of the State Border Service noted that directly on the border line border guards do not record signs of accumulation of forces.
"If we talk about the line of our border, then, fortunately, as of now, the movement of either equipment, or weapons, or personnel, in close proximity to our border or such accumulation we do not record," - said Demchenko.
At the same time, he noted that the main task of the intelligence now is to monitor the situation not on the border line, but deeper into the territory of Belarus.
The intelligence units have been recording Russia's pressure on Minsk to take part in the war against Ukraine on a larger scale, and this poses the risk of another invasion - either by Belarusian or Russian troops.
According to him, the number of Belarusian units near the border with Ukraine has not changed since 2022.
"Their number is not increasing, their number is not decreasing, there is a constant periodic rotation," said the speaker.
Demchenko also noted that there is no significant number of Russian troops on the territory of Belarus.
"If we talk about the Russian army units, they are not in large numbers on the territory of Belarus now. If there are Russian units on the territory of Belarus, they are more units related to logistics and support. If we talk about infantry units that could carry out an invasion of Ukraine from Belarus, fortunately, they are not recorded," he said.
At the same time, the speaker warned of the risk posed by the Belarusian infrastructure.
"But those infrastructure facilities, which Belarus continues to develop on its territory, including in the direction of our border, those logistical directions, which Belarus is developing, Russia can use at any time by transferring them to the territory of Belarus.
