Armenia is at the stage of strategic choice.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has promised that he will pay compensation to farmers for crops that they will not be able to deliver to Russia because of Moscow's restrictions.

"Today we are at the stage of a strategic choice. We are solving the issue of our state, republic and the acquisition of a new quality by the state. And I say: the pepper will spoil - I will pay for this pepper, the government will pay. But as a result of all this, both pepper production in Armenia and exports will grow," Nikol Pashinyan said.

Russia has temporarily banned the import of a number of fruits from Armenia to Russia since June 2. The ban includes cherries, cherries, apricots, plums, peaches, nectarines and grapes.

Last week, a ban was imposed on strawberries, herbs, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, several brands of cognac and wine.
