Rubio Voiced Good News For Ukraine On U.S. Weapons

The amount of aid will amount to 400 million dollars.

The United States will soon announce the allocation of a new military aid package of 400 million dollars to Ukraine. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio told a Senate subcommittee about it, writes Reuters.

Rubio said the White House is finalizing a new military aid package for Ukraine, and news about it will appear "very soon." He did not specify what would be included in this military aid package to Kiev.

We are talking about the $400 million that Congress approved to support Ukraine in the December 2025 defense budget (NDAA) under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) program.

This program provides for the Pentagon to purchase military hardware, equipment and weapons from U.S. companies for the Ukrainian side. The $400 million allocated for Ukraine assistance at the end of 2025 is "stuck" in the Pentagon. This money has not yet been received by American defense companies.

Rubio claims that the allocation of a new $400 million military aid package to Ukraine is undergoing interagency approval and is in its final stages.

In April 2026, some senators accused the Pentagon of delaying aid to Ukraine. Afterward, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the Pentagon had unblocked the aid package to Kiev.
