Ex-CIA Agent: Belarus Is In The Field Of Vision Of European Intelligence Services

NATO is monitoring the situation.

Belarus is a danger factor not only for Ukraine, but also for the entire NATO bloc. This was stated in an interview with "Espresso" by Ralph Goff, former head of special operations at the Central Intelligence Agency in Europe and Eurasia.

He said NATO countries are closely monitoring the situation with Belarus.

"Take Lithuania for example - a NATO country with a very professional intelligence service. The same goes for Estonia and Latvia. And also Sweden, Norway and, of course, Poland. The Baltic and Northern European countries have powerful and highly qualified intelligence services, and Poland is definitely not going to ignore what is happening in Belarus," said the former intelligence officer.

Goff emphasized that Ukraine does not have to monitor the situation in Belarus alone, as NATO countries "closely monitor everything that happens there."

Talking about the situation in Russia's war against Ukraine, the expert urged to keep a sober view of the situation and not to go to extremes.

"At the beginning of the war, Western intelligence significantly overestimated the Russian army. But now there is a risk of another mistake - to underestimate it at later stages of the war," he said.
