The AFU is systemically draining the occupiers.

Ukraine is now in a much better position in the war against Russia than in previous years. This opinion was expressed by Finnish President Alexander Stubb in an interview with the Swiss newspaper NZZ.

He notes that the situation for Ukraine has evolved from a struggle for survival to systemic exhaustion of the enemy. According to him, a "mathematical" stage of the war has begun, where resources and the ratio of losses play a key role. And in this "math" Ukraine is gaining the upper hand.

In support of his position, Stubb cited a number of arguments that he said demonstrate Ukraine's advantage:

1) Ukrainian forces have been disabling about 35,000 Russian military personnel every month for the past six months.

2) Russia is able to mobilize about 27,000 military personnel per month, creating a shortage of personnel.

3) The ratio of losses has changed from 1:3 in Ukraine's favor to 1:8 in Ukraine's favor.

4) 95% of losses are caused by drone and missile strikes, not small arms battles.

5) A 20-40 kilometer "kill zone" with extremely high mortality rates has formed on the front.

6) In March, for the first time, Ukraine began to launch more strikes on Russian territory than Russian air defenses could intercept.

7) In April, for the first time, Ukraine recaptured more territory than it lost.

Stubb emphasized that he assesses the situation on the basis of intelligence data and "based on facts" considers the current state of the war unfavorable for Moscow.

"Ukraine is in a better position on the battlefield than at any time since the beginning of the war," the Finnish president is convinced.
