How Many Ukrainians Support Joining The EU And NATO?

Survey data.

The overwhelming majority of Ukrainians support the country's accession to the EU. At the same time, support for joining NATO has declined slightly.

This was reported by Rating Group.

According to the survey, 50% of Ukrainians fully support European integration, while another 29% tend to support it. Ten percent of those surveyed are categorically opposed to EU membership.

The highest concentration of supporters of EU accession is found in the west and center of the country, as well as among people over 51 years of age. In the south and east, this figure is slightly lower, at 44% and 43% of absolute support, respectively.

Despite the desire to join the EU, most Ukrainians are dissatisfied with the pace of this process. Five percent of citizens are completely satisfied with the pace, while another 25% are somewhat satisfied. At the same time, more than 60% of those surveyed express dissatisfaction to one degree or another.

If a referendum on Ukraine’s accession to the Alliance were held in the near future, 63% of citizens would vote in favor, while 12% would vote against it.

Sociologists note that, compared to July of last year, the level of support for NATO integration has decreased by 7 percentage points.

The survey was conducted in three stages via telephone interviews: March 11–12, 2026—1,000 respondents; April 15–17, 2026—1,000 respondents; and June 23–24, 2026—1,200 respondents.
