The Kremlin leader could drag more countries into the war.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that if Russian dictator Vladimir Putin fails to achieve his goals in the war against Ukraine, he may escalate the conflict.
Zelenskyy made these remarks in an interview with the French television channel BFMTV.
According to the Ukrainian leader, if Putin does not achieve victory, “he will become very dangerous—and not just for us.”
“He will try to occupy another place, target other people, and kill again—kill people,” Zelensky emphasized.
He added that Putin might try to drag more countries into the war.
Speaking about a potential ceasefire, Zelenskyy emphasized that it is “possible,” but very difficult to achieve.
“We need to put an end to this war. And there is one side—Russia—that doesn’t want that. They’re just paying lip service to it,” the president emphasized, adding that a ceasefire isn’t just words, but concrete steps.
Zelenskyy also noted that Putin is a “liar” when it comes to a possible ceasefire, “because he wants a victory.”
It should be noted that Zelenskyy previously stated that the head of the Kremlin could drag Belarus into the war.
