The Media Reported That The "Pelican" Was Flying To Moscow

The capital of the Russian Federation came under a large-scale attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The Pelican weapon, which the Ukrainian president described on September 20 as one of the means of defeating Moscow, is not a ballistic missile. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine reported this, citing sources.

In his post, Zelenskyy did not specify what the Pelican is. However, media outlets speculated that it might be a Ukrainian ballistic missile, the launch of which had been announced for the fall.

This theory was supported by the fact that “Pelican” is a new brand from the Ukrainian defense company Fire Point, which manufactures “Flamingo” missiles and FP-1 and FP-2 drones. In April, the company registered the “Pelican” trademark, leading to speculation that this would be the name given to its FP-7 ballistic missile, as reported by hromadske in April.

However, sources at RBC-Ukraine clarified that Pelican is, in fact, an aviation-type drone. No other details about it have been disclosed, the sources told reporters.

Last night, the Russian capital was attacked by more than 1,600 drones. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin stated that the attack was “the largest and most unprecedented.”
