The Central Election Commission Of The Russian Federation Has Published The First Results Of The State Duma “elections”

"United Russia" is projected to have 57.54% of the vote after 13.9% of the ballots have been counted.

Russia’s Central Election Commission has published the first results of the vote count for the State Duma “elections.” With 13.88% of the ballots tallied, “United Russia” has 57.54%.

The Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) is in second place with 13.67%, and the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) is in third with 9.27%.

Preliminary results also show that two other pseudo-opposition parties are set to enter the State Duma: “New People” (7.96%) and “Fair Russia” (5.16%).

In 2021, according to official results, “United Russia” received 49.82%.

The State Duma elections took place amid a lack of political competition, as well as the fifth year of the war, during which Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries have caused a fuel shortage, the range of Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes is growing by the day, and the Russian army is in a deep crisis.

Most candidates who openly opposed the war in Ukraine were barred from running in the election. In August, Russia’s Supreme Court revoked the registration of Yabloko’s federal list—the only registered party that had openly opposed the war.

Russia also did not invite independent international observers.
