Zelenskyy Announced The Largest Ballistic Missile Attack By Russia On Kyiv

The President of Ukraine addressed the international community.
On the night of Saturday, July 19, Russia carried out one of its most massive ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv. The enemy used more than 40 missiles of various types (most of them targeting the capital) and 120 attack drones, emphasized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to him, as of now, there is one confirmed fatality and 16 injured in Kyiv and the surrounding region.
Cleanup efforts are ongoing at three locations, with nearly 600 rescue workers deployed.
Relevant services are also working in the Odesa region.
“In total, over the course of this week, Russia has used approximately 1,450 attack drones, more than 1,640 guided bombs, and 99 missiles of various types against Ukraine,” the president emphasized.
People were injured in the Odesa and Zaporizhzhia regions, while damage was reported in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. In addition, the Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Cherkasy regions were also targeted by Russian attacks.
Zelenskyy emphasized that defense against ballistic missiles is now the constant and top priority.
“We need interceptors every day, and I am grateful to everyone who takes our agreements seriously and ensures the delivery of systems to intercept ballistic missiles. These aid packages are literally saving lives during every massive Russian attack. And it is very important that, alongside our work on anti-ballistic defense, pressure on Russia continues,” the Ukrainian leader emphasized.
He added that any delay in making new decisions gives Moscow the opportunity not only to plan new attacks against Ukrainians but also to avoid new sanctions.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also thanked everyone who is helping Ukraine.
