The Ukrainian Armed Forces Are Establishing A "buffer Zone" On The Border With Belarus

Special attention is given to river islands.

Ukrainian border guards are actively preparing for a possible enemy offensive from Belarusian territory and are building a strong line of defense.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine citing the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

SSU personnel are creating a so-called “kill zone” along the northern borders to effectively neutralize the enemy in the event of a breakthrough attempt. Defensive positions are now being reinforced with several types of engineering structures.

Border guards are constructing:

- anti-tank trenches

- multi-level barbed-wire barriers

- rows of concrete “dragon’s teeth.”

This complex of defensive structures is only part of the large-scale fortifications being deployed along the northern border to halt potential aggression.

The military is paying particular attention to water barriers. In the border regions, defensive measures are continuing on the Dnieper islands, where some activity has also been observed and the actions of Belarus are under constant surveillance.

The situation is fully under the control of Ukraine’s defense forces.
