Belarusian winger Erik Mikanovich may make his debut in the new season of the Polish Ekstraklasa. According to the official social media accounts of Warsaw’s “Legia,” the player has been included in the club’s roster for the upcoming championship.
Erik is 18 years old. He is a product of the “Belcard” Children’s and Youth Sports School in Grodno, after which he trained at the “Józefovia” club in Józefów, and then joined the Legia system. After progressing through all the junior and youth teams of the Warsaw club, he began playing for the youth team and participated in the UEFA Youth League as part of that squad. Last season, he played for Legia’s reserve team in Poland’s fourth division. Erik also has experience playing for the Belarusian youth national team.
The club recently held a photo shoot ahead of the start of the national championship—Eric took part in it.
Last year, Legia finished fifth in the Ekstraklasa. The team will kick off the current season on July 24 with an away match against Pogoń Szczecin.
