A Crisis Is Brewing Across The Entire Crimean Power Grid

The occupiers made an emergency decision.

On July 31, temporary power restrictions were imposed throughout Crimea. The occupying authorities are frightening the population with the threat of a major accident.

This was reported by “Krymenergo”.

“On the orders of the dispatcher of the Black Sea Regional Dispatching Center (a branch of JSC ‘SO UES’), temporary power rationing has been introduced in the Republic of Crimea,” the statement said.

The occupying authorities on the peninsula assure the population that this is a necessary measure that cannot be avoided.

The occupiers also claim that this is the only way to prevent the power grid from becoming overloaded, since, according to them, Crimea is currently at risk of a system-wide power failure.

Moreover, the Russian occupiers make no secret of the fact that these will be rolling blackouts.

“Since the decision to cut off power was made by the system operator, there are no precise hourly schedules for the various power grid districts. Outages will be implemented on a case-by-case basis and as necessary,” the statement said.

Against this backdrop, “Krymenergo” acknowledged that it cannot specify the exact date and time when the power restrictions will be lifted.
