Drones Attacked An Oil Refinery In Ufa, Russia: Fires Broke Out

Explosions rocked Ufa, Russia (Republic of Bashkortostan), on the morning of Saturday, August 1. The monitoring Telegram channel Exilenova+ reports strikes by drones targeting an oil refinery.

Footage posted online shows several fires visible in the Russian city. Exilenova+ notes that there are three major oil refineries in Ufa. At this time, it is unknown which of them was struck by the UAV.

On the morning of August 1, Rosaviatsiya announced that restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures had been imposed at Ufa Airport due to a drone threat. Local Telegram channels reported explosions in the Russian city.

The Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country reported that overnight, Russian air defense forces allegedly “intercepted” 274 UAVs over 16 regions of the Russian Federation and over Crimea.
