All Quizzes Have Been Canceled In Grodno

The city's residents are outraged by the local authorities' decision.

Intellectual and recreational games in Grodno have been classified as mass events. As a result, most of the games scheduled for August have been canceled, according to Hrodna.life.

The organizers of the quizzes “Remember It All,” “Smoothie,” “Brain Teaser,” “Tuts-Tuts,” “Name That Tune,” and “Matryoshka.”

Organizers must now obtain permission from the local executive committee to hold these events. Applications must be submitted 15 days before the event. The application must include the organizers’ details, the event’s purpose and venue, as well as the estimated number of participants. If the event falls under the category of cultural and entertainment events, the organizer must be listed in the Ministry of Culture’s registry and hold a touring license.

Residents of Grodno on Threads have expressed outrage over the local authorities’ decision, noting that such permits are not required in other cities in Belarus. Meanwhile, residents of Brest are concerned that, just like in Grodno, cancellations will begin there as well.
