Ukraine Has Submitted Proposals To The U.S. On How To Put Pressure On Russia

The Ukrainian negotiating team has submitted to the United States proposals for further action aimed at increasing pressure on Russia and bringing the war to a closer end.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in a video address on Tuesday, August 11.

According to the Ukrainian president, he received a report from the negotiating team on the progress of talks with the U.S. side.

“We have conveyed our proposals to the U.S. side,” Zelenskyy said.

The president noted that the U.S. can help Ukraine strengthen its defenses, particularly in the area of air defense. At the same time, Kyiv hopes that Washington will use its influence to pressure Moscow to change its approach and prevent the war from dragging on any further.

“The U.S. can both help strengthen our defenses—primarily with air defense systems—and put pressure on Russia to change its plans, to work toward ending the war rather than prolonging it,” Zelenskyy concluded.
