Belarus Was Mentioned In A Popular Spy Series Starring The World's Highest-grossing Actress

Belarusians appear in an unexpected plot twist.

The third season of the popular spy thriller “Special Forces: Lioness,” starring Zoe Saldana—the highest-grossing actress in history—unexpectedly took the plot to Belarus, writes "Zerkalo".

In the second episode of the season, the main character, CIA officer Joe McNamara, is the target of an assassination attempt right at her home in Virginia after returning from a special operation in Ukraine. The attackers are apprehended, and it turns out they are mercenaries from Belarus.
