The organizers gave a reason.
The "Motor Show" International Auto Show, which was scheduled to take place in the fall of 2026, has been postponed to May 2027. The organizers attributed the decision to changes in the domestic auto market and new regulations governing the import of electric vehicles, reports the Belarusian Automobile Association (BAA).
The choice of a spring date was explained by expected changes in the Belarusian automotive market: by the end of the year, the range of automotive brands and models available in the country is projected to expand.
Another factor was the change in the terms for importing electric vehicles. The quota for their duty-free importation, which was in effect in 2026, has been exhausted, and further shipments are subject to import duties.
“Holding the ‘Motor Show’ in May will allow us to present visitors with a more complete picture of the automotive market and, at the same time, return the exhibition to its traditional spring format, with which it has been associated for many years,” the BAA stated.
The organizers promise to announce the exact dates for the May 2027 auto show at a later time.
The “Motor Show” is one of the largest automotive events in Belarus. After an 11-year hiatus, the auto show was revived in 2024.
