Poland Is Transitioning From Emerging Markets To The Developed Markets Category

Today, Poland is the fastest-growing major economy in the EU.

S&P Dow Jones Indices, a provider of global financial indices, has decided to reclassify Poland as a developed market, upgrading its status from an emerging market.

This was reported Poland’s Minister of Finance Andrzej Domanski.

The reclassification will take effect with the index update in September 2027.

- Yet another confirmation of Poland’s strengthening position! S&P DJI has just reclassified Poland from an emerging market to a developed market. Today, Poland is the fastest-growing major economy in the EU, the minister wrote.

He added that as early as next week, Poland will take part in a meeting of G20 finance ministers and central bank governors.
