A long list of new features.
Banks are introducing changes to their cards. "Zerkalo" explains what new features are in store for their customers.
Paritetbank is offering customers a special series of retro-style cards—the “TurboCard”—with free issuance and maintenance. “From August 17 through 31 only, apply for cards in BYN, USD, or EUR with a limited-edition design via the mobile app or iParitet online banking for 0 rubles,” the financial institution reports.
Starting August 20, VTB Bank has changed the terms for holders of the “Compliment” card in Belarusian rubles. “The changes include a 2-ruble reduction in the fee for SMS notifications, an increase in the limit for free cash withdrawals at other banks’ ATMs to 1,000 rubles per month, and an increase in the points accrual rate under the BonusBOX loyalty program from 0.5% to 1% for payments at pharmacies, opticians, and dental clinics,” the financial institution explained.
Starting September 21, Neo Bank Asia will change the fee for the “SMS notification” service for cards; it will be 3.5 Belarusian rubles, 1.5 dollars or euros, or 100 Russian rubles. The bank will also revise the monthly service fee for primary or supplementary CashYou cards.
Starting August 6, “Alfa-Bank” has set a fee of 3% of the amount for depositing cash into an account at its ATMs using Belkart cards issued by other Belarusian banks.
Starting August 25, MTBank will gradually phase out the “Visa Infinite” and “Infinite Service Package” rate plans. “This decision does not affect ‘Visa Infinite Prime’ cards and does not entail any changes for their holders. These changes are related to the optimization and simplification of our card lineup; they will allow us to focus on improving our existing products and services, as well as on introducing new solutions,” the bank explained.
Starting September 1, MTBank will also make changes to certain loyalty programs. The changes will affect, among other things, payments made with “Halva” cards.
In addition, MTBank has launched a promotional game for Visa cardholders.
Belgazprombank is running a joint promotion with Wildberries: if you pay with a “Cashalot” or “Virtual Cashalot,” you can receive an electronic gift certificate for purchases on this marketplace.
Technobank has added new partners for its “Healthy Lifestyle” card. Among them are the “Zezet-charter” yacht club, the “ZABAVA” family amusement park, the “Green Ranch” equestrian club, the “LUMI BEAUTY” massage studio, the “LASER” aesthetic cosmetology center, the “FITO BANYA” online store for sauna supplies, and the “RMbike” bike shop and repair shop.
Additionally, starting September 1, “Tekhnobank” will change the fees for certain card-related services. “The fee for tracing funds at the customer’s request and for settlement, cancellation, adjustment, or crediting of funds is set at rubles per individual transaction,” the financial institution reports.
At the same time, the annual service fee for corporate cards will be eliminated. “A one-time fee is being introduced for the issuance (reissuance) of new corporate cards: Visa Business—30 rubles, Belkart-Premium—15 rubles,” the bank added.
Starting August 21, "Tekhnobank" will implement changes regarding cash withdrawals using cards held by customers who have activated the "TekhnoMIX," "TekhnoBusiness," or "National" rate plans. There will also be new features for Green cards.
Bank BelVEB has launched a special offer for holders of the Belkart Premium “Siyay” card—they are granted access to a GymFit sports subscription.
