The remaining troops were trapped in "Novorossiysk."
Convicted Russian propagandist and former leader of the “DPR” terrorists Igor Strelkov (Girkin) has once again offered a pessimistic assessment of the war’s progress. This time, he effectively acknowledged that, after four and a half years of fighting, Ukraine has gained a significant advantage over Russia. The post in question appeared on his Telegram channel.
Commenting on the destruction of terminal in Novorossiysk, as well as the damage to the newest Russian warships, the “Admiral Makarov” and the “Admiral Essen,” Strelkov stated that the Russian fleet has effectively ceased to exist as a combat force.
“Our Black Sea ports are effectively blocked, one-third of our Black Sea Fleet has been destroyed, and the remaining two-thirds have been driven back to their last base, but even there they are being targeted and continue to be battered, even though they are already so battered that they are incapable of any active operations. Having entered the ‘special military operation’ with absolute dominance at sea, four and a half years later we find ourselves on an absolutely equal footing with Ukraine. And even then, Ukraine holds a quantitative and qualitative advantage in unmanned boats. Bravo! Bravo, ‘Unique Advantage’!”—wrote Strelkov.
The war criminal is particularly alarmed by the fact that Ukraine continues to actively escalate strikes on Russian rear areas using drones and missiles. According to him, unlike the Russian leadership, the Ukrainian side not only makes bold statements but also actually delivers on its promises.
“The Ukrainian Armed Forces are now, just as Fyodorov promised less than a year ago, sending between 500–600 and 1,600 UAVs into Russia every day. And their numbers are growing steadily from month to month. And there’s a “discrepancy” with the missiles, too. Yes, FOR NOW we’re capable of launching significantly more of them… But we no longer have absolute superiority, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes—if you look at the ratio of missiles launched to “vital” targets hit—are, unfortunately, significantly more effective than ours,” Strelkov stated.
