Nebenzia Raised A Fuss At The UN Over The Animated Series “Masha And The Bear”

A Russian Federation official found a reason to make a statement about “Russophobia.”

Vasily Nebenzya , the Russian Federation’s Permanent Representative to the UN , expressed dissatisfaction during a Security Council meeting with Ukraine’s sanctions against individuals involved in the creation and distribution of the Russian animated series “Masha and the Bear.” The Russian diplomat used this issue to level yet another round of accusations against Ukraine of alleged “Russophobia.”

According to Censor.NET, Nebenzia made these statements during a speech at the UN Security Council.

The representative of the aggressor state called Ukraine the “Zelenskyy Concentration Camp” and claimed there was an alleged “complete ban on dissent.” He accused Kyiv’s Western partners of financing the continuation of the war, which Russia itself began with a full-scale invasion in February 2022.

As an example of the alleged “destruction of everything Russian,” Nebenzia cited sanctions against individuals associated with the animated series “Masha and the Bear.”

“It is not only the Russian language that is being infringed upon—everything connected to our shared past is being destroyed. The authorities in Kyiv are demonstrating primitive Russophobia and xenophobia,” he stated.
