Belarusians Are Posting Photos Of A Rare Lunar Eclipse On Social Media

The partial lunar eclipse that occurred last night coincided with the full moon. The Telegram channel “Basta” is publishing photos of this natural phenomenon taken by readers, as well as by Belarusians who posted pictures on social media.

Today’s eclipse was particularly unusual: it was a deep partial eclipse, during which approximately 96.3% of the Moon’s disk was in the Earth’s shadow. The maximum occurred at 04:13 UTC.

In Belarus, the situation was slightly different: the maximum phase could not be seen, since by that time the Moon had already set below the horizon. But the partial eclipse itself was visible in the morning.
