A Warehouse Belonging To A Logistics Giant Burned Down In Belgorod After Being Struck By Drones

Ukrainian drones struck a warehouse facility belonging to one of Russia’s largest logistics companies, “Delovye Linii,” on the night of August 3, according to "Pepel". The facility in question is located on Kommunalnaya Street in the "Kreida" industrial and warehouse zone on the southeastern outskirts of Belgorod. The channel reports that as a result of the attack and the ensuing fire, the building was completely destroyed, and a neighboring building was also damaged.

Governor Alexander Shuvaev confirmed the drone strikes on warehouses in Belgorod during his morning briefing. “As a result of the attack, a public facility and two commercial warehouses caught fire. All emergency services responded promptly. Fire crews extinguished all sources of the fire,” he wrote on his Telegram channel. According to open sources, the targeted facility is a cross-docking terminal used for receiving, sorting, and distributing less-than-truckload (LTL) commercial shipments across the regional logistics network, writes The Moscow Times.
Fires in the area of the warehouses on Kommunalnaya Street following the nighttime attack were also detected by NASA satellites. At least two fire outbreaks were observed at this location. Previously, there had been no reports of targeted strikes on “Delovye Linii” facilities.
Also last night, Ukrainian drones attacked Belgorod State Technological University (V.G. Shukhov Belgorod State Technological University). As a result of several strikes on the building and the university grounds, a major fire broke out—one of the buildings was completely destroyed by the fire.
As reported by “Pepel,” BSTU staff were developing and testing an automated drone control system based on the Russian “Milandr” microprocessor. The university stated that the system has civilian applications and is intended for monitoring power lines, heating pipelines, and aerial photography; this past summer, the university recruited high school students for summer sessions on drone development.
