The fight took place on March 8.
In March, 21-year-old Russian blogger and professional boxer Sergey Timofeev assaulted two people on Zybitskaya Street in Minsk. He was notified of the verdict back in July, and it has now taken effect. The Russian man considered the court’s decision unlawful, as reported by the capital’s prosecutor’s office.
In July, it was reported that Russian blogger Timofeev had been sentenced to five years and six months in a penal colony for assaulting two people on Zybitskaya Street. One of the victims—Andrei Stepanchuk—fell into a coma, and his family was raising money for his expensive treatment.
The prosecutor’s office has now stated that the Russian national’s sentence has taken effect following an appeal to the Minsk City Court.
“The defendant partially admitted his guilt. He believed that his conviction by the court’s verdict was unlawful. During the appellate review of the criminal case, the prosecutor expressed the opinion that the court’s decision was lawful, well-founded, and just,” the prosecutor’s office reported.
The blogger was tried for hooliganism and causing serious bodily injury (Part 1 of Article 339, Subparagraph 7 of Part 2 of Article 147 of the Criminal Code).

As a reminder, the fight on Zybitskaya Street took place on March 8. A conflict broke out there between a Russian man and two strangers. As a result, one man fell after being struck by the blogger and hit his head, which led to a coma. The second man sustained bruises and abrasions on his face.
Timofeev boxed professionally, holds the title of Candidate Master of Sports, and in 2024 became the Russian boxing champion.
His fiancée, blogger Anna Paramonova, gave her account of the events. According to her, the group saw two men on the street without outerwear—one of whom was barefoot—and decided to help. After that, the young woman claims, the men responded rudely, and a conflict broke out between them.
