Putin's Envoy Is Flying To The U.S. To Meet With Trump's Team

According to two sources familiar with the preparations for the talks, Dmitriev’s trip to the U.S. will take place on Wednesday. The visit, they said, was coordinated personally with Putin.

According to one of the sources, the purpose of the trip is to maintain dialogue between Russia and the U.S. and to support efforts toward a peaceful resolution.

Earlier, Putin’s office also announced plans to resume trilateral talks on Ukraine with U.S. participation—though no progress has been made on this front so far.
