Filming for the long-awaited sequel began in June.

Actor Robert Pattinson ran into an unexpected problem while filming the second installment of “Batman”—the actor admitted that physical scenes are noticeably harder for him now that he’s over 40, according to Variety.

Filming for the long-awaited sequel began in June in London. Pattinson reprises his role as Bruce Wayne, joined by the film’s new stars, including Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan. Their roles are still under wraps.

“I definitely feel my age when I have to do a lot of fighting. I literally think, ‘Damn, this is a lot harder than it used to be,’” Pattinson admitted in an interview with GQ.

At the same time, the actor makes no secret of the fact that he enjoys working on the film. According to him, the movie has “a truly amazing cast,” and the project itself is turning into a real marathon for the entire crew.

Director Matt Reeves is once again at the helm, and he co-wrote the screenplay with Mattson Tomlin. Plot details have not yet been revealed.

The film’s release date has been postponed several times. Originally, “Batman 2” was set to be released in October 2026; the release date was then moved to October 2027, and later to February 18, 2028. This means there will be a gap of nearly six years between the two films.

DC Studios head James Gunn previously explained the delays by noting that long gaps between major franchise films are quite common.
