A Belarusian Woman On A1: "Enough Already! I Haven't Had Internet For Two Days."

It's unclear when it will be repaired.

Threads user bananaammama complained about a lack of internet access but never received a call from a support specialist at the mobile carrier A1.

“Well, now I’ve run into trouble with A1,” she writes. “On September 28, I contacted the call center about no internet at home; the operator scheduled a technician to come on September 29 between 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The technician never showed up at the scheduled time. I called A1 again—the response: ‘Oh, well, it’s specifically our equipment that isn’t working at your place; we don’t know when it will be fixed—we have no information.’

A1, I’ve been your customer for many years, I make my payments regularly, I work remotely, and the internet is absolutely essential for me!

I’ve been unable to work for two days—who will compensate me for the lost workdays? Why don’t you warn customers that a technician won’t be coming, so they can go to any hub with Wi-Fi and get some work done? Why are you charging me for internet service when it isn’t working? Expect an official letter with a copy sent to MART! You’ve had enough of this!”

Other social media users are also complaining about the mobile operator’s service. The website Charter97.org cites some comments:

- I had A1 home internet at my rental apartment. The connection would drop every 5 minutes. I called the guys from A1 to fix it; it took 45 minutes to get through to a technician, since the automated system obviously didn’t solve the problem.

The technician arrived, ran some diagnostics, took the elevator down to the switch, came back, checked—the problem hadn’t gone away—went back down, and disappeared. Now, completely without internet or any information, I called A1, where they told me that the ticket had been closed and my issue had been resolved.

- They don’t care—as long as you pay on time.

- Cell service is terrible in the building, and it takes forever for the workers to download the program.
