Four People Have Been Identified Whose Actions Determine Putin's Fate

A Ukrainian open-source intelligence analysis group has identified some of Vladimir Putin’s closest aides. This investigation came to light amid statements by the former head of Kyiv’s intelligence service regarding the Russian president’s concerns about his own security, according to OSINT-Bees.
The group has released detailed information about Russian military leaders, politicians, and propagandists, and in its latest report, it identified four key figures who are either in Putin’s immediate inner circle or operating behind the scenes.
“These people are the Russian president’s closest bodyguards and servants. Sometimes they even spend the night in the next room,” representatives of OSINT-Bees said.
This comes as the former head of Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Valeriy Kondratyuk, told Ukrainian media that security measures surrounding Putin have been “tightened to the maximum.”
Who are Putin’s aides?
OSINT-Bees refers to Putin’s aides as “adjutants” and compares them to those who assisted Russian tsars during the imperial era.
It has been established that they are all from Moscow or the Moscow region, are part of the Presidential Security Service of the Federal Security Service (FSO), and hold the rank of lieutenant colonel or lower.
According to OSINT-Bees, they enjoy traveling to exotic destinations and own luxury cars.
It is claimed that they frequently appear in photographs on the Kremlin’s website alongside Putin during his domestic and international trips, but very little is known about their identities.
“All these people will be neatly dressed, and since they are selected from the Presidential Security Service, they are tall, strong, and athletic. They know how to conduct themselves in Putin’s presence and understand that they shouldn’t draw too much attention to themselves,” Mark Galeotti, author of the book on Putin , told Newsweek magazine.
OSINT-Bees reports that one of the aides, 39-year-old Alexei Melnikov, is a graduate of the Russian Federal Security Service Academy. In photographs seen by the magazine, he is pictured accompanying Putin during official visits. There are also photos of him relaxing with his wife on the beach.
Also mentioned is 43-year-old Sergei Moskalenko. According to OSINT-Bees, which published photos showing him accompanying Putin during meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and other world leaders, he likely graduated from the Golitsyn Border Guard Institute under the Russian FSB.
Another one of them is 43-year-old Konstantin Panin, who is often seen in photographs alongside Putin during trips around the country. The OSINT-Bees project named the fourth individual as 38-year-old Ivan Rozhko from the village of Barybino in the Domodedovo District of the Moscow Region—another graduate of the Russian Federal Security Service Academy.
Newsweek reported that, on the eve of the fifth anniversary of the war in Ukraine—which falls on February 24, 2027—reports are emerging indicating Putin’s fears regarding a coup d’état, internal stability, and attempts on his life.
In May, a European intelligence report obtained by CNN stated that Putin’s inner circle is prohibited from using public transportation and is permitted to use only phones without internet access.
Galeotti noted that it is noteworthy that such claims about Putin’s fears are emerging at a time when murders and assassination attempts targeting various figures in Russia continue to be linked to Ukraine.
“If you’re a member of the security services, your job is to be professionally paranoid, which means you have to be prepared for anything. If you believe the Ukrainians are capable of this, you have to prepare for it. And in wartime, it’s getting harder and harder to say no to the security forces,” he added.
