Switzerland's New Ambassador Has Arrived In Belarus

He previously worked in Ukraine and Russia, and also served as ambassador to Croatia and Greece.

The newly appointed Swiss Ambassador to Belarus Stefan Estermann said in a video message that he and his wife had received a very warm welcome in Belarus and that he felt at home there almost immediately. Estermann noted that he is looking forward to starting his new job, meeting new people, and engaging with the local community.

Stefan Estermann has worked at the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs since 1996. During his diplomatic career, he has served in Ukraine and Russia, and has also served as Switzerland’s ambassador to Croatia and Greece.

The diplomat is fluent in German, French, English, Czech, and Russian.
