Ales Mikhalevich’s family involved in road traffic accident

The car in which Milana Mikhalevich, the wife of the politician Volha and her common-law husband Ihar Zenchyk was involved in an accident in Varanyanski Steet in Minsk at about 7 p.m. January 4.

As witnesses of the accident say, the car was parked near the roadside. But while passengers were getting out of the car, another car ran into its open door, the European Radio for Belarus informs.

Traffic police checked documents of all passengers. Finally policemen detained and delivered Ihar Zenchyk to the police department of October for some reason. Ihar was not behind the wheel and was not the owner of the car. Ales Mikhalevich’s sister was driving the car. The European Radio for Belarus was told about that by Yury Hubarevich, deputy head of “For Freedom” movement.

It is surprising that police did not allow reading the protocol of the accident. Hubarevich also noticed that traffic policemen’s conduct during detention of Ihar Zenchyk was strange.

“Milana Mikhalevich wanted to explain the situation and be a witness. She was threatened and prohibited to come near the traffic policemen.”

First police said Zenchyk would stay in the police department till next morning. After his relatives arrived and wrote an application to the police chief. Ihar Zenchyk was released several hours later.
