Final accusation laid against Mikita Likhavid

On February 21 the final accusation was made against the young activist Mikita Likhavid for participation in the so-called mass riots on December 19.

Radio Svaboda has been informed about that by his mother Alena Likhavid with a reference to his lawyer. He faces up to 8 years of imprisonment.

“Since February 22 my son will start to be acquainted with the case papers. Mikita feels perfectly fine. He does not complain about the conditions, he is not lost, he gives regards to his friends,” told his mother, Alena Likhavid.

Last week in the court of Frunzenski district of Minsk Vasily Parfyankou, a participant of December 19 events, was sentenced to 4 years in maximum security penal colony under the same article 293 part 2.
