The members of the Seimas who participated in the regional cooperation forum in Belarus made such statements.
According to the information provided by the portal DELFI, these are member of the Social Democrats fraction Stanislovas Gedraitis and Jonas Jagminas, who is a member of the mixed group of MPs.
The Lithuanian MPs received written gratitude of the Belarusian government for development of bilateral relations. The politicians did not stay indifferent. Thus, Jagminas noted that Belarus created workplaces in Lithuania and made great input into the Lithuanian economy: Belarusian goods made 33% of capacity of the Klaipeda port.
Gedraitis, in his turn, assured that the Lithuanians had a lot to learn from their neighbours. He said that he was in awe of the Belarusian progress created mostly by the efforts of the state leader.
