Belarus is engaged in smuggling of Russian petroleum products to Ukraine

Companies, belonging to the Belarusian oligarchs close to Lukashenka, has tested an analog of the pattern "solvents and diluents" in Ukraine.

There, they sell Russian petroleum products under the guise of biodiesel and diesel fuel.

This year Belarusian import of biodiesel fuel to Ukraine has considerably increased, reports "Interfax".

"Large private Belarusian oil traders - "Univest-M","Interservice" and others - import biodiesel fuel to Ukraine, produced by diesel fuel produced at the Belarusian oil refineries. Such supplies amounted to 30-40 thousand tons a month", - said a market participant.

He also noted that such deliveries were absent in 2011.

In addition, according to the interlocutor of the agency, this year there is a noticeable trend of growth in supplies of diesel fuel with improved performance to the Ukrainian market. "These supplies is carried out, primarily, the “Triple" company”, - said the source.

Recall, the company "Triple" is owned by Belarusian oligarch Yuri Chizh, against whom the European Union has imposed economic and visa sanctions for "financing regime of Lukashenka".

As the website charter97.org reported previously, biodiesel and diesel fuel with improved performance are not included to the list of products subject to export duties, so traders can easily remove them from the customs territory of the Customs Union. At the same time, these fuels are produced by adding special additives to standard diesel fuel.

Thus, Belarus is not obliged to transfer export duty for motor fuels to the Russian budget.

Recall that this way until recently Belarus exported Russian oil to the EU countries under the guise of solvents and diluents. They are also not subject to customs duties. Yesterday, Russian Railways has blocked deliveries of naphtha (distillation of gasoline) to Belarus, thus, placing the smuggling business of Belarusian oligarchs under threat.
