Leaders Of Italian And British Neo-Nazi Visit Belarus

7

Leaders of far right parties were accompanied by an ill-famed philosopher Aliaksei Dzermant and a political analyst Aliaksandr Shpakouski.

The highly unusual personalities from Europe arrived to Belarus in early April. One of them even calls himself a fascist openly. From messages in social networks of the leaders of Citadel and Nomas projects it follows that the leader of the Italian New Force (Forza Nuova, FN) party Roberto Fiore and the chairman of the British National Party (BNP) Nick Griffin are on a visit in Belarus, nn.by reports.

Nick Griffin has posted his picture with a monument of Stalin on his twitter. And Fiore has posted a picture of some restaurant, where among others, a philosopher Aliaksei Dzermant, a political analyst Aliaksandr Shpakouski, an economist Aliaksandr Sinkevich, a political analyst Yury Shautsou. Fiore also had a meeting with representatives of the Liberal Democratic party of Belarus, headed by Siarhei Haidukevich.

Several more pictures of Griffin and Fiore’s visit to Minsk have been shared by a participant of the project Citadel Aliaksei Dzermant and the head of the Conservative centre Nomas Piotr Piatrouski (Petrovsky). In comments on Facebook Dzermant noted that there would be no information for the press about the arrival of the guests.

And who are they, Mr Fiore and Mr Griffin? They are far right, fringe politicians of Italy and the Great Britain.

Roberto Fiore started his political career in the end of the 1970ies, from a neo-fascist organisation called the Third Position. He was charged with terrorist activities during the period of the Lead Seventies (characterized by far-right and far-left terrorism). To escape a possible arrest, Fiore moved to the Great Britain. He was a propagandist of the ideas of Julius Evola, a neo-fascist ideologist.

In 1999 Fiore returned to Italy, where he became a leader of the Forza Nuova. For a long time he was in a coalition with one more far-right party of Italy, Social Action, headed by Benito Mussolini’s granddaughter Alessandra.

This political force has a liking for Vladimir Putin. Fiore strongly supported the annexation of the Crimea by Russia, and also the Russian position on Ukraine. Last year the Italian was a participant of the International Russian Conservative Forum, which gathered neo-fascists from all parts of Europe in Sankt-Petersburg.

“I do not think that it is a shame to be called a fascist, but statements that I am a Nazi are considered by me a slander and an attempt of discrediting,” – Fiore said in 2015 in Russia.

At the moment Nick Griffin is a less successful politician, than his Italian colleague and friend. Though Griffin was the leader of the British National Party, and also was a Member of the European Parliament.

When Griffin was an editor of The Rune magazine, he pointedly denied Holocaust in his publications. He convinced that British media are completely controlled by Jews, who brainwash white British citizens for them to accept the idea of multi-culturalism.

In 1998 Griffin even was found guilty of disseminating materials which incite national hatred. He was sentenced to 9 months of imprisonment with a respite for two years. Once again he was arrested in 2004. In 2009 Griffin urged to sink ships with African illegal immigrants.

Now Griffin and his party have become more tolerant. In 2014 the court of Wales found Griffin a bankrupt. On the same year Griffin was excluded from the BNP for an attempt to destabilize the political movement and of bullying organisation’s members.”

Griffin also supports Vladimir Putin and Russia.

“Mass media are calling us fascists. But we are not fascists. Fascists are those who are killing Russians in Ukraine, for instance,” – Griffin said.

And such questionable politicians are taken to Belarus.

“They are wonderful intellectuals, European patriots, Conservatives with a capital C,” – Piotr Piatrouski writes about them.
