In the last election year, "all this politics" hit the Cockroach in much the same way as heavy snowfalls and twenty-degree frosts this winter.

In May, the presidential campaign began, and, at the very beginning of June, the KGC had a new head, with whom the “Babaryka case” appeared.

Since September, personnel reshuffles in the leadership of most of the power and control departments of Belarus have poured from a cornucopia: people were changed in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General's Office, the Investigative Committee, the Ministry of Defense, and twice in the KGK and the Security Council.

During this time, such old-timers as the ex-head of the KGB Vakulchyk and the former Prosecutor General Kaniuk, who had been in their posts longer than all their predecessors, left their posts. Castling has happened before, but the scope here is striking.
